Because of the vertical mirror system in the 35mm camera, the penta prism hump at the top of this camera is a typical 35mm design.	Because of its design (horizontal mirror) the Olympus Pen FT does not have a hump like the 35mm camera displayed on the left.
The lines between the 35mm frames clearly show how the half frame camera produces two pictures per 35mm frame.	The slide mount for a 35mm picture and a half frame slide have the same outside dimensions. Viewing a half frame slide in a slide projector requires a wide angle lens.
